Say for example you will be replacing the overhead light inside the living room; if you have to do this then make sure that you get the right replacement. So when you buy your new overhead light then you have to make sure that you check the total wattage of the current light and you have to be aware of the rating of the new fixture that you have selected. and if your current overheard light will give your room that adequate light then you need to find the replacement that uses just the same amount of wattage- don’t stray away from the current wattage of the present one. so if the room is too dark, so the replacement that you will get should be a higher wattage light and you need to install the dimmer switch.
