Check out the displays. This is the first thing that should be done when you are in furniture stores on the lookout for cabinets. Go for these cabinets and closely observe the many aspects of the pieces. Check the drawers and see if the drawers open and close smoothly. If not, better check the other cabinets on sale in that furniture store. Also check out the surface of the cabinets and feel its surface. Is the surface smooth or rough? If the surfaces of these drawers are rough then better look for other cabinets. High quality cabinets that you can use in your home should have smooth surfaces and its drawers should open and close with little or no noise. If possible, do not purchase the cupboards with no backs. Make sure that the corners of cabinets are reinforced.
